Paige Paradis- Game Art Student, Digital Artist

MEEEE.jpg

Paige Paradis is a student studying at the Maine College of Art & Design in Portland Maine, she will be graduating in May of 2024.  Paige lived in Fort Kent Maine for her entire childhood, it wasn’t until after high school she moved to Hampden Maine, where she currently resides.  While in college Paige built up her skills in game design and 3D asset creation.  She likes to design the occasional 2D game but her day-to-day consists of building low poly environments in Blender.  On top of being a full-time student, Paige was also a Resident Assistant for three years.

She recently worked at Camp Roosevelt during the summer of 2023.  While working at Camp Roosevelt Paige taught children how to 3D model objects using Blender that would later be 3D printed.  While working at this male-dominated camp Paige noticed how nervous younger female campers were to be taking STEM-related classes.  However, a lot of the female campers found themselves in the game design class.  This made Paige realize the power of games to kids, and how more games should be created for these young female audiences.
